Apollo Light Carrier
Modular, portable data acquisition hardware for sound and vibration analysis
or up to 10 Apollo_light analyzers.
Overview
As a reaction to the ever-growing need for modular data acquisition hardware as well as the increase in customized solutions we expand our multichannel measuring system range with the Apollo_lt-Carrier. This data acquisition hardware allows configuration of individual and modular portable measuring system set-ups with a large number of channels using the Apollo_lt analyzers. Unlike our well-known Tornado and Typhoon multichannel measuring systems with integrated industrial PC the new Apollo_lt-Carrier can be connected to a PC via USB. Furthermore the carrier can be split into several individual analyzers with USB interface.
The Apollo_lt-Carrier is especially well-suited for:
- Multi-channel data acquisition
- Engineering services
- Research and development
- Sound power measurements
- Vibration measurements
- Modal analysis

Core features
Measuring system for several departments of the same organisation
The Apollo_lt-Carrier allows combining the individual Apollo_lt analyzers of several departments of the same organisation in one large-channel-count measuring system. The individual Apollo_lt analyzers have their own USB interface enabling them to be used as separate instruments with a lower channel count.
Flexible channel configuration
The Apollo_lt-Carrier allows combination of up to 10 Apollo_lt analyzers in one measuring system. The Apollo_lt is available in several versions with different channel counts. Since level and octave analyses are already carried out in the Apollo hardware Apollo_lt-Carrier is especially well suited for real-time analysis tasks.
The Apollo_lt-Carrier is powered by an external power source with 10 to 20VDC. The optional rechargeable battery may supply the measuring system for several hours, depending on the configuration.
Sample-synchronous
The synchronisation of the internal Apollo analyzers offers sample synchronicity with less than 0.5° phase difference at up to 20 kHz bandwidth. Additionally, the Apollo_lt-Carrier has an SCNC_IN/OUT connector.
Distributed applications
When using our Apollo_lt_8D or Apollo_lt_16 analyzers the connector box for the sensors can be positioned near the test object. A low-noise, shielded multi-core cable with internal coaxial cables is used for connection.
Easy to use
The Apollo_lt analyzers need just a few simple steps to be inserted into the casing. The connection to a PC is established via USB port.
Plug-and-play capability allows automatic detection and easy software activation of the Apollo_lt instruments. The Apollo_lt-Carrier is recognized by our general SINUS driver. This enables support of the data acquisition hardware in our SAMURAI™ software as well as other alternative software solutions as MATLAB® and PYTHEN. The SAMURAI™ software offers the clear and flexible channel assignment using the serial numbers of the Apollo_lt analyzers. Both the measuring channel assignment as well as the analysis configuration can be stored.

SAMURAI
SAMURAIâ„¢ is our universal software package for the real-time noise and vibration analysis with comprehensive evaluation functions for the post-processing. With numerous SAMURAIâ„¢ options we offer a software for almost all application fields of sound and vibration instrumentation. The application scope covers the entire range from the simple sound level measurement to the complex modal analysis. All software modules are developed and continuously updated according to national and international directives and standards.
NWWin
With the Noise & Vibration Works for Windows (NWWin) software we provide a feature-rich, high-performance engineering tool for the evaluation and documentation of SAMURAIâ„¢ measurement data. The software focusses on the template-based generation of measurement reports. Furthermore, several measurements can be easily compiled for comparison.
SMT
The SINUS Measurement Toolbox for MATLAB® (SMT) provides the functionality of the globally established engineering tool MATLAB®.
LabVIEW
The SINUS-Apollo_LabView-Library allows use of National Instruments’ graphical program development software LabVIEW®.
PYTHEN and C++
For universities and OEMs we offer direct hardware support under PYTHEN and C++ for individual programming.
ARTeMIS Modal
The ARTeMIS Modal software package from Structural Vibration Solutions features comprehensive modal analysis capabilities. Apart from the Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) the software is especially well suited for the Operational Modal Analysis (OMA). Our SINUS driver provides the ARTeMIS Modal software with direct access to our analyzers.
ME’scope VES
Vibrant Technology, Inc’s ME’scope VES software package offers extensive analysis capabilities for modal analyses. ME’scope allows the import of measurement data from our SAMURAIâ„¢ Transfer-FRF option.
µ-Remus
Designed for mechanical engineers the µ-Remus signal analysis software package particularly excels in modal analysis and rotor balancing. This software offers a rich function set especially well suited for applications that require customization.
