Apollo PCIe
Measuring cards for individually designed high-precision
vibro-acoustic measurement systems featuring a high channel count
Overview
The Apollo PCIe-Express measuring cards provide a means to implement individually composed, low-cost, high-precision vibro-acoustic measurement systems with a large number of channels. The synchronized sample rate of DC … 204kHz per channel with a dynamic range of 120dB of the integrated ADCs ensure a wide range of applications.
The Apollo PCI-Express measuring cards are especially well suited for:
- Data acquisition and analysis
- Customized multi-channel vibro-acoustic measuring instruments
- Noise and vibration monitoring
- Machinery and equipment status monitoring
- Acoustic camera
- Quality assurance
- Research and development

The PCIe measuring cards may be mounted to an empty PCI Express slot in any modern Windows PC. For channel extension any number of measuring cards may be inserted into a PC and synchronized for sample accuracy. Reduction of the data volume is achieved by adjusting the sample rate of each channel individually (binary decimation).
The Apollo_PCIe measuring cards are fully compatible with the PTB-approved Soundbook_MK2 measurement system.
Core features
Freely configurable multi-channel measurement systems
The Apollo_PCIe cards allow implementation of customized, sample-synchronized multi-channel measurement systems. Based on the Apollo_PCIe measuring card range and high-quality industrial PCs made in Germany we offer pre-assembled complete solutions. These devices will be equipped with Apollo PCI-Express measuring cards as per customer request and come as a tested complete system including a comprehensive final inspection report.
Highest quality at fair prices
The Apollo_PCIe measuring cards are fully compatible with the Soundbook_MK2 measuring instrument. So even at a low investment level you will be provided with top-level measuring equipment.
Highest precision provided by a 24-bit ADC in combination with a new powerful Apollo filter processor
Our new powerful Apollo filter processor allows highest-precision real-time analysis with a large number of channels. Integrated weighting filters complying with IEC 61672 for sound level meters, Class 0 filters complying with IEC 61260 for the 1/3 or 1/1 octave analyzer, HVMA weighting filters complying with DIN EN SO 8041, ISO-2631, ISO 5349, ISO-8662, UNI-2614, UNI-11048 and UNI-9916, filters for the evaluation of mechanical vibrations complying with DIN ISO 7919, ISO 2954, ISO 10816 and DIN45666 as well as high and low pass filters provide resource-saving calculation directly on the hardware.
24-bit ADCs safeguard a high signal bandwidth with a linearity range >110dB (typical) complying with DIN 61672, crosstalk <80dB, phase error <0.01°@20kHz and a sample rate of up to 204.8kHz (switchable per channel).
Comprehensive service channels permit universal application
The Apollo_PCIe service channels enable external triggering with an adjustable triggering level or speed measurements via 2x tacho channels from 0.1Hz to 6MHz. Each optionally available APOLLO_PCIe-SLOW 1-slot extension card may be used for additional acquisition of 8 slow process signals with 24 bit DC … 200Hz and the connection of a GPS receiver.
High-precision synchronisation via cable
Multiple Apollo_light devices can be synchronised for sample-synchronous operation using a flat ribbon cable. The synchronisation offers sample synchronicity with less than 0.5° phase difference at up to 20 kHz.
Software and drivers naturally downward compatible
The downward compatibility of our drivers and software ensure long-term investment planning. Our SINUS_driver and SAMURAI support all new and legacy SINUS measuring instruments.
